To create the best travel experiences for our unique clients, we do not rely solely on commissions from suppliers. Our design fees allow us to make authentic decisions based on getting to know you and your travel style.

If you know exactly what property or excursion you want to book and the booking is $500+, there is no fee. This includes hotel-only bookings; escorted tours; ocean, river, & expedition cruises; rail journeys; and all-inclusive resorts excluding airfare. You'll receive your booking confirmations by email and PDF.
Fee: $0
If you are still exploring where to unpack, after the complimentary consultation we'll give you a proposal of 3-5 options (per city) that most closely match your preferences. Once we've found your match, we'll book it for you, applying our applicable amenities and perks. You'll receive your booking confirmations by email and PDF.
Fee: $50 per city. Non-refundable.
We'll take care of all the details so you can focus on the fun. Custom Travel Design covers planning for all land arrangements, which may include hotels, car rentals, transfers, train travel, tours, and coordinated travel documents.
Interactive Itinerary & App. With Custom Travel Design we bundle all of your trip documents and booking details into an interactive itinerary that you can can access your trip details online, offline, on your phone, and as a PDF for the duration of your trip. You can use this interactive itinerary to follow flight updates, review destination advice, and chat with your fellow travelers and Travel Advisor at any time.
Fee: $300 per 10 days of travel for up to 6 adults. Non-refundable.
Each additional adult is $50. Children ages 0 - 17 who are traveling with adult guardians incur no additional planning fees. Non-refundable.

Hotels are more likely to invest in rapport and service for guests who are represented by a travel advisor. It’s about relationships. We have:
Can’t I get better deals on my own by booking online?
It depends on what's valuable to you and your tolerance for risk. Rates at mass online travel agencies can be low but also restrictive. Their deeply discounted rates are usually due at booking and non-refundable.
Travel advisors can book competitive rates with perks for you plus the benefits of elevated guest status due to their relationships with hotels.
For example, if a hotel is overbooked, a guest who booked through an online travel agency is the most likely guest to be assigned to another hotel at the time of check-in. A guest who is represented by a travel advisor will not usually have the same experience due to long-standing relationships. In fact, travel advisors have contracts with many hotels that prohibit their clients being walked to another hotel.
I usually ask hotels for perks like late check out and free parking, what’s different about working with a travel advisor to get perks?
Travel advisors leverage dedicated industry partnerships that give them direct customer service access and guaranteed perks packages for their clients. Additionally, some perks packages are only available through travel advisors.
Will a travel advisor steer me toward a supplier that is advantageous to them even if is not what I really want?
No. Travel advisors might highlight special opportunities for experiences that match your interests. Beyond this, they have such a wide network and so many options that it is simple for them to focus on your unique interests and preferences.
What if I prefer to rent houses rather than hotel rooms?
You can with us! We partner with organizations that provide high-quality management services. Whether it’s an apartment in Paris, a beach bungalow at Turks & Caicos, or an estate in Tuscany, we call them villas and we have a wide array of styles and price points available.
